Good morning to you! Oh happy day! Birds are singing, yes, birds are doing their thing, what ever that is and I am getting a new monitor, TODAY!!! Oh YEAH! I know today that I will be running to the door like my pug Jenny running to the kitchen when she hears the familiar sound of the bag of Pepperoni’s opening. I have needed a new monitor since I bought this computer. I knew that this was an issue after I shot that wedding this past September. I had pictures printed a few times and the colors on my screen definitely did not match what was coming from the different places that I was using for printing and I had never had that many issues. Anyhow, I hate to ask for help so I have been patiently waiting to purchase a new one and trying different ways to edit, all with their own idiosyncrasies. I would clean up the noise, do spot removal or cropping on my computer and then fix color on my phone. That is just no way to do anything. Now, I no longer have to lie about it and cover up for my lack of equipment. I know I could have started a Go-Fund me or borrowed the money but I just couldn’t. Thank you (and jeeepers argh!!!!) Dad for passing down the stubborn genetics. I am sorry to anyone this affected.

Anyhow, so if any good came out of this pandemic crisis, then this was my one saving grace. Thank you, gracias, arigato! I am truly am sorry that I could not be truthful in not saying why I couldn’t finish as it caused great anxiety. Also, I ordered a new external hard drive, so I can clear out my hard drive. So two small purchases that will help greatly. Anyhow, I can’t wait and I am giddy with excitement that I can finish, actually, I will have to go through the originals again and edit with the new screen and print again. It’s not like I have anything to do, right? Fingers crossed and I did throw a little salt over my shoulder, you know for luck.

Yesterday, it was cool to talk about Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera and Leon Trotsky with another WP reader from Indonesia. He and I trade messages frequently. I get to learn about his musical tastes and such and he get’s to learn about mine. It is like this cool cultural exchange between a Gen-X and a Millennial. He just learned about Spinal Tap and Frida yesterday. His posts have taken me on buses and down market streets in Asian communities that I have been wanting to travel to experience the food and culture. I get to hear about what it is like in his part of the world for him and his significant other. It is pretty cool. I have said this before, it is like traveling without leaving your home. He introduced me to the entrancing sound of Khruangbin and I now I can’t get enough of their exotic sound. I felt like a proud Grama when he mentioned that one of the bands that I told him to listen to now has a new fan, him. The best I tell ya!

Also, I, well, we, hubby and I, have another project. Oh yeah, Hubby had an old, guitar body hanging out in the garage for as long as I could remember. Anyhow, he said that if I would like to restore it, then I could. You know me, my eyes glazed over and drool hung from my bottom lip as I daydreamed about fixing it. So, we both went on Google and started looking up info. It is an Epiphone electric guitar.

I lightly dusted this before photographing. I want to be sure to get the proper cleaning agent.

So, I took the opportunity to see if my creative photo block had been lifted as really, I have been shooting lately but forcing myself to be creative and not letting it happen naturally. Right now, it just starting to feel better for me, like a breath of fresh desert air.

This is the front of it.

The only other information I have on this guitar is that Hubby bought it at Venice Beach in the late 80’s for around 30 bucks. He said it played and then by the looks of it, became a project and was never put back together. Anyhow, I am looking for the name of this vintage Epiphone Electric Guitar. The head-stock indicates that the serial number is 278594. I have Googled till my eyes almost googled out of my head and found out lots of cool things about Epiphones and Gibsons, but nothing about this one. I would love an original picture of it. If not, I am looking for parts that may work for this guitar and best stuff to use. I have read reviews on a few websites but would like some more perspective on the restoration process since this will be my first time. Restoration virgin, huh huh huh… This will help fill in some of the wholes in my Jerry-rigged education of everything. So to any brave souls that are willing to help and answer questions, thank you in advance.
