Blow it out…

Good morning world! You made it to see another day and that is a fabulous thing. Today is March 7, 2022 and my fifty-second year on this planet we call Earth. Many notable things happened today. I was going to list a few but it seems that this day has many notable historically significant events that have occurred. In 1965, future US Senator, John Lewis, marched across the Edmond Pettus Bridge with fellow voting rights protestors. Sadly, they were met by the state troupers and sheriff’s. That day is known as Bloody Sunday. In 1878, Alexander Graham Bell received a patent for his invention, the telephone. Also, many battles started on this day, there are just too many to list but here is the article about the events of this day in history. I linked the History Channel article. If you celebrate the anniversary of your entrance to the world today, then Happy Birthday to you!

Posting some of my favorite photos of ME!

Today, I am 52 or 25 if I wanna be silly. Sometimes though, I feel like I did at 25 but this body of mine does not. I love it all though, the aches, the pain, the gray hair the wrinkles and all that **&^$$#!@* small print!!! Guess what? I am a member of AARP and I have not met an early bird special that I have not liked. You see, I know that life changes quickly and one moment you are here and then the next it is gone. Me? I am going to plan on enjoying every moment that I can. You know what I need? A little music to go along with these photos. This is the Magic Numbers and a song that they wrote many years ago and one of my favorites.

This song is included on the soundtrack for Catch and Release (a chick flick – my favorite kind of movie.)
One of my favorite donut shops! You win absolutely nothing if you know the place…

So much has happened in the last 52 years. I graduated from Duarte High School as a single, unwed parent.

I can’t believe I was able to walk in those shoes! Back then, when you got pregnant, you had to go to a continuation school. I kept that shit on the DL…
I used the timer on the Sears KX-1000 to get this shot. I really had a thing about black and white photography back then. This was circa 1985 in Duarte, CA.

It seems that was I always trying to get an artsy fartsy shot, even back then.

The actual photo looks better. This has been copied from my Facebook.
51-ish years ago with my Dad.
This was at the Goo Goo Dolls concert in La Quinta, CA with my good friend Angel. So glad that her and I met when I first moved to the Coachella Valley.
This was a fun night at the Red Barn Bar in Palm Desert, CA. The Ghosts of Kelso played that night and the place was packed! I ended up partying with a bunch of dudes that were celebrating their buddies upcoming marriage.
Learning to embrace my curves. A few years ago, I would never have been caught by a camera, let alone in a pair of shorts. This photo was shot in Kelso, CA, by me @emmme_lee
I finally got a hobby! Painting!!!
Not a care in the world…not really 😦
Pain and sadness level 10 at that moment. Me looking that shit in the eye and say “Fork you!!!!” This photo was shot in Williams, AZ.
I may not be keen on the way I look but when Hubby looks at me…oh my! Feeling all warm just thinking about it. This photo was shot by James Keena in Bombay Beach, CA.
This is at 4 AM in Julian, CA.
This was at a Descendents show. My son is behind me.
This was shot in Marina del Rey, CA.
This is a self portrait. I was trying to get comfortable in front of the camera so that it would make it easier to instruct a subject when I am behind the camera.

This was fun, it took way more than the 15 minutes I usually allow myself to write a post. It has been hard getting to my desk lately because of CES issues but I am starting to feel better. Oh heck, here are a few more that I love…

Thank you, dear reader for visiting, I hope to see you around these parts again. May you have a peaceful day. Where ever you are going today, may you get there safely. Hugs to you and you and especially all you March 7 babies.

I still can’t believe you are 52 when you look 40. I know I teased you about this before and you said it’s food preservatives 😆

🤣 yeah , you would be surprised what those preservatives do (see worlds oldest Twinkie)I really am 52 and enjoying it and all the discounts. I still feel like I did in my forties, my late forties.

I think I win the “no prize“ prize, because I am certain that is Krispy Kreme you visited! 😂

On a completely different note, I’m happy that you have started yet another new year of life on this crazy planet and especially happy that you are my friend. Good for you, posting a bunch of your own favorite pictures of yourself. I have been in therapy 35 years, and I know this much: until we love who we are, we cannot effectively love others. I am having trouble deciding which of your “me“ pictures I like best, but it is either the one of you sitting on the rock, or the one that says, “fork you.”

I look forward to the day I make my way out to the West Coast to hug you in person, until then I am sending many, many air hugs! Love you, girl!

Ah and I am air hugging you right back. 🤗 I hope to make it to your side of the world. A girl needs a good change of scenery sometimes. Besides, yes, you are right, that is a Krispy Kreme! Another reason to go visit you 🍩

Oh thank you ☺️ I am with you on the love yourself. It has taken me a long time for me to get comfortable for myself, maybe it is the age thing 🧐 you and I have so many things in common. Thank you WordPress for helping me – us make the connection 😁
