Good Monday morning to ya’. It’s early here in our place and the only sounds I hear are Jenny, our pug, snoring and the sound coming from the live feed of the eagle cam presented by Friends of Big Bear Valley. Right now, it appears that Jackie (Mama eagle) is on nest duty for the night, keeping two eagle eggs that she laid around 35-40ish days ago. The Youtube site has more details an information about the entire process. It is very fascinating, and I love having the live video playing in the background as it feels like I am in the woods along with the other thousands of viewers that watch every day as we are all on Pip watch, waiting for the first little beak to break through its shell. Do check it out, like or subscribe as it helps this organization keep this live feed running.
Yesterday, was a big day for our pug Jenny as she had a party to attend at the University Dog Park in Palm Desert. Below is a song by Steve Wiest – A Grumble of Pugs. When I close my eyes and listen, I can picture Jenny as a puppy doing zummies of running so fast and tumbling over, sneaking around and trying to will food into their bellies with those puggy eyes. Pugs…
Pug Meetups are a fun way to meet other pug people and their little snorters. Jenny’s first Pug Meetup was at the Silverlake Dog Park in 2013 and she has been to several events in Southern California. Hopefully, this summer, we will make it out to one of the events that is held at Rosie’s Dog Park in Long Beach, California.

Event organizer Vanessa and her two puggies, Theo and Phoebe sure know how to throw a party and is thoughtful in decorating. The theme for this meetup was Pugs n’ Kisses. Jenny happily greeted them as she hadn’t seen those two in almost a year.

The party started at 10 AM and we lasted about an hour and left close to 11 AM. Jenny was panting heavily. Okay, she always pants and snorts heavily. After we left the park, we headed to Starbucks to get Jenny a cup of water. She is a little bougie and will not drink out of any ol’ dog water bowl. No, not her. She happily drank her Starbucks water before heading home for a well-deserved snooze.

If you, dear reader, have a pug do check out one of the many pug meetups throughout So Cal. and if the Coachella Valley is your home, then do check out @coachellavalleypugmeetup
Time to get on with the morning. Jenny and the cats are ready for their morning meals and are starting to circle Hubby. Have a wonderful, snort filled, grumbly day full of puggie seasoning (some folks call that dog hair).
Hugs!
So cute when dogs and cats sit/sleep next to each other.

That’s very sweet. My cat Panda is a gentle, affectionate cat toward humans, but never toward other animals. He’s been an only pet the entire 16 years we’ve had him, so he’s never had to share us lol. I suppose if he’d been raised with another pet, he might be different, but whenever we have houseguests who bring their dog(s), he wants nothing to do with them.

Panda is one lucky kitty! Not having to share the attention. Both cats hide when we have company. Taco and Jenny are very dependent on each other. We do have another cat, Nora, she wishes she was an only cat and stays by herself.

She had quite a morning, even if it was only an hour. We were all worn out after that party.

You should go π There are sometimes people that attend the meetups that do not have a dog or their dog may have crossed the rainbow bridge. If and when Jenny is no longer here, I may still go to the meetups.

As long as you introduce yourself it shouldn’t be a problem. I think this is a great place to see different dog breeds.
