Honestly, as a photographer, editing photos should be something you kind of like to do. Me, I frigging can’t stand it. I just want to adjust, dial in, and shoot. Over and done. However, I get that not everything comes out the way it is intended and sometimes things will need an adjustment. Usually, I save editing for early mornings just before the sunrises. A few month ago when I was working, I used to hurry through edits and rush to get to ready for work so I missed lots of shots. I only picked out shots that either stood out or needed little editing. Anyhow, this morning I went back over photos that I shot a week before I had my surgery. I am enjoying being able to slowly go over each and every shot in my highly medicated normal state. A week before my surgery, on January 20, Jim sat in with Boxcar 7 in Long Beach, California. I had posted a few photos and a video as I usually do to my IG account and then I left them alone as I just didn’t feel up to sitting at my desk and editing at that time. This morning I spent a few hours reviewing and I did a few edits although they didn’t need much.
Also, I was pleasantly surprised at the way my cheap Nikon D3400 handled the 85mm FX lens when my camera is in fact a DX.
Tonight, it will be different, I know this. Jim will be sitting in with them again tonight. This band has a few photographers. I still have trouble walking so hopefully I will get a good table and have a clear view. The Kobe Steak House in Seal Beach is where they will be playing tonight. Honestly, I love watching Jim play with them. He really seems to have a good time and really shows in the photos. If you are in the area and you feel like shaking your booty come on down for a great night of rhythm and blues.
To you, out there in the world, have a peaceful and easy day. Thank you for stopping by, hope you come back again soon.
